Hello,
Is anyone out there like me. I am a prenursing student hoping to start LPN program in Jan 09. I just can't stop talking about nursing school. It's like I am one of those new mom who just can't shut up about their and new baby. I know it must get to my husband, friend, family and co workers. The thing is that I am always at school or study for my prereq classes any advice on how to start new converstation. ( I think I forgot)

Well, if you want to start a conversation about something other than nursing, you may have come to the wrong place...

I can't wait until I can wear scrubs. I don't know why I'm sooo excited about wearing scrubs. Hahaha!
I already wear them...they are my favorite lounge around the house wear.

This board thrives on obsessive compulsive people like us!!! Yes, I have a one track mind and right now my mind is on Nursing. So that is all I think about, talk about and dream about! Man I wish this process was faster!!!

I know what you mean...I have decided to get some scrubs to wear to class this fall. I am taking A&P 2 and Micro. I figured hey, people don't know that I am wearing them for comfort, for all they know I am a CNA (which I used to be, not just actively working right now.) My mom, who is a nurse herself, laughed at me when I told her this and said I have gone crazy! But, hey this way I don't have to think about what I am going to wear.
My DH has a pair of scrubs that I got from the company I work for, and he loves them! He wears them as pj's and one an occasion or two has even been caught wearing them to the store. When I told him that I was going to get some scrubs to wear to school he said, OHHHH get me some too! LOL!

I'm taking A&P II and Micro this Fall too! When does the semester start for you? After A&P I, I find myself naming bones and muscles whenever I see a half naked man on tv or in the movies! I can't believe that's the first thing I think about. Hahah!
I should get a couple pairs of scrubs. I volunteer at the hospital and I'm allowed to wear scrubs under my volunteer uniform. Hmmm...

School starts 8/27 but my A&P and Micro classes are both on Tues and Thurs so those won't start until the 28th. I am also taking Child and Lifespan Psych and Sociology but they are on the internet.
I have got to start volunteering too. I just found out where I need to call for the hospital here, so I need to do that asap. :monkeydance:
And I know what you mean about the naming bones, etc. I do the same thing! Or when my DH hurts himself I say oh you bumped your and whatever bone that is. Drives him nuts!
