Too many to list.
A physician tells me that I need to get from Point A to Point B.

Is this another homework question?
Depending on the facility and or specific floor you are working on there will be standing orders for different condtions as well (protocols).

If you're trying to find out what being a nurse is like, volunteer in a hospital or nursing home and pay attention to what the nurses do, OR find a way to spend a day or two shadowing a nurse.

Most of what you'd consider independent nursing actions are things that any lay person could do and are, as such, boring and not worth talking about. Sorry nurses.
