I am a diploma graduate. I graduated with people who landed jobs in areas such as the OR, outpatient surgery, NICU, burn/trauma ICU, L & D, and dialysis right out of school. I work in a Magnet hospital that has a school of nursing and hires many diploma and ADN nurses, including the NICU.
Not in my facility. RN = RN.
a RN is a ADN and a RN is a BSN,,, a Rn is a Rn and therefore can work NICU .. i am a BSN , RN and know plenty of RN, ADN's that work NICU..... where do you work where a RN is not a ADN? RN's ADN and BSN both take the same boards.. we are RN's.... we do the same job...

Okay first of all I DO NOT MEAN for this to become yet another ADN/BSN bash....I genuinely have a question.
I am taking prerequisite courses to get into a community college RN program. This is my last semester of prereqs, so i'm good to go.
I am an aspiring NICU nurse. I have been browsing these boards and it seems that many NICU's are hiring BSN's only? Is this true?
