My mashed potatoes are cold.

The three most common for me are bedpan, pain medication and IV beeping. I think it's cute when a patient calls because, "The other lady in here (roommate) needs help."

OK I work in geriatrics so: to ask where the call light is, to ask you to take off the bed alarm, to tuck their feet in te cover for the 100th time in the last 10 min!!! And any other craziness you can think of! You gotta love nursing

Last week, " Can you hand me the potato chips over there? That is your job, right?"

I got one the other day: "Can we get some lemon sherbert?"

1) IV pump alarming

2) Bed alarm (ours are wired into the call light system)

"I want to go to the toilet".

They forget to tell you, as their new nurse who is unfamiliar with them, that they have been hopping in and out of bed all day using their Zimmer frame and going to the loo themselves!

I often wonder how do they get to the loo on their own at home??

Sigh, this goes along with the request for 'fresh aloe' and Pelligrino with honey and lemon... from a totally A/O patient!
