California's 2010 New Grad RN Program

2010 is fast approaching so I think there must be a new thread for 2010 new grad program. I hope the moderators will allow me to post this new thread. I'm currently working at Monrovia Memorial Hospital which is 40 miles away from our apt. We live here in Playa del Rey, near the LAX and unfortunately I don't drive yet. I'm looking for any hospitals that offers new grad program for next year. I'm not even sure if I'm still qualified for a new grad program because it will be my 8th month this Jan. working at Monrovia Memorial. Anyone could share any info..Thanks..

Has anyone heard back from Childrens Hospital Los Angeles yet?

During the preliminary interview, they said they'd start calling to let you know if you made it to the next step this week.

I haven't either, didn't they say they would call either way? I'm still in the running and still looking at other hospitals. I called but it went to voicemail so I said I'll just wait til tomorrow morning maybe somebody took a longer vacation.

Yeah they said they would call either way, I called yesterday and left a message too but I have not gotten a response yet so we'll see.

Alright well I guess I'll just wait. Maybe the other person got hired on another floor than us or they are going by alphabetical order. I remember Hopeful saying her two weeks would be June 2nd which is today.

Very true or maybe different hospital we might be at Inland Valley who knows but I'll keep waiting too. Let's not give up hope :)

I got a job offer for new grad program at Inland Valley! The start date is July 26. Good luck to everyone! It is stressful and you have to have a lot of patience,,,,hang in there because the job is soo rewarding!!

have you heard from Loma Linda yet, got an email May 5th saying my application had been sent to the nurse manager but have not heard anything more.

I received a call from Loma Linda yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately I will have to turn the interview down due to the fact I accepted a job offer else where. Goodluck, I am sure they will be calling you soon. :)
