  1. Friday afternoon. Did anyone else get an offer from Southwest Healthcare (Rancho Springs or Inland Valley)??
  2. I got a job offer for new grad program at Inland Valley! The start date is July 26. Good luck to everyone! It is stressful and you have to have a lot of patience,,,,hang in there because the job is soo rewarding!!
  3. yes i have taken the kaplan classes and did the ques trainer and q bank ques. i used saunders as well but not as my primary study source. I keep thinking i would have to go thru the boards again if i want to be a NP!!! No thank you!!!! :)
  4. You have to keep positive because our minds can sometimes be our worst enemy. I am staying positive only because I cannot wait to start working and learn hands on. I am a visual learner so reading the text is killing me. Good luck to you all and thanks for the encouragement. I will do this!!!
  5. i have taken the NCLEX 2 times in CA and my third time was in NY. I am not giving up but I am getting tired of studying for this exam. I know it is not hard but there is something I am not getting. I have used Kaplan Q Bank and Saunders book and CD. I have not used Suzannes plan religiously which now makes me think i should. Any advice? I am not giving up, it just frustrates me that i adore this field and cant work already because I cant pass one test. So please someone motivate me
  6. when i applied for the SD campus it was around $40,000 but I had classes transfer from undergrad. the only pre-req i needed was to be a CNA, which i did @ Maric
  7. Congratulations!!! What a relief huh? i cant wait to be able to breath and shout I passed!!!
  8. I am a CA resident and I graduated in May 2008. I sat for the nclex in july '08 and failed, sat again 45 days later in sept '08 and failed. So i redirected myself as I had planned to move to NY. I applied for my nursing license i NY so I can sit for the boards there. I took the 2 state mandated classes, gave my CA school a verification form and now I am waiting while I study again!! I have been using Kaplan course/ review book and Suzanne's plan so I dont know what it is. Ive been told I have to look deep into the question...what are they really asking? i never thought i would have a problem passing! I was one who thought I would pass bc I loved school and am so excited to learn more. I also said i wouldnt want a nurse who couldnt pass the nclex taking care of me....how weird Karma works! I am now one of those nurses.. But I am staying determined!
  9. I am CA resident and I graduated in May 2008, sat for the Nclex in July '08 and failed, waited 45 days and sat again in Sept '08 and failed. I just applied to take it in NY so I had to complete the application, pass 2 state mandated classes and have my school send NY my transcript. I am waiting to get the okay from NY and I will have sat 3 times for the NCLEX. I chose to apply in NY bc I am moving there and time was cutting short. So hopefully after using Kaplan and Suzannes plan i will pass on my third try! I am determined!!!!
  10. I went to Maric College, which is now Kaplan College.
  11. Yes nusring school is expensive. i figured I didn't want to waste my time on a waiting list so if I payed the big bucks i can move on, graduate and start making bigger bucks. It's a personal preference if you want to pay that much money for school and have student loans! I did it and dont regret it!
