When I saw that Torrence Memorial had closed their applications to their New Grad program starting in March 2011 I realized we needed a new grad 2011 thread! The 2010 thread was a great place to ask questions and get answers about upcoming new grad opportunities. So let's make this thread the same. :)

I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding Northridge's new grad program. This must not be a popular hospital because I can't seem to find ANYTHING regarding their program on this website. Anyone know of anything, or at least know a friend who does? I have an interview with them on the 28th but I would like to hear from other people's experiences about their program. Thanks in advance!
Congrats on the interview! I don't know much about the Northridge process either! What unit are you interviewing for?! I'm still waiting for a call and am wondering if they're doing interviews by unit. Ive already completed both the math test and personality test.
Called Northridge today, they are still going through applications - they're sorting applications by top 2 departments the applicants chose. The lady sounded as if they would still continue calling people for interview (if you haven't heard from them yet), which helps to keep the hope alive

Thank you! Lol, to be honest, I couldn't even remember which units I applied to. But when she called, she said it was for Med/surg. I got the call like..3 weeks after the personality test, so I actually thought I failed it...if that's even possible. I guess they're slow. You'll most likely hear from them soon. She actually called me at 8pm, which i thought was a random time. Either way, Best of luck to you!

Yeah, I got the math assessment on May 5th, personality test a few days after that. I didn't hear back from them until June 7th. When I got the call for the math assessment, she said that they would schedule me for an interview "Mid May." So much for that. I wouldn't lose hope at all because they are kinda lagging..

Thanks!! I am SO excited and happy! I've applied to over 40 jobs and had 3 interviews total. I'm definitely taking the St. Vincent job since my only other prospect was with Planned Parenthood in Pasadena (still waiting to hear back after my interview 4 weeks ago), and I'd rather work at a hospital than a clinic. I also just started doing an internship (unpaid) at Citrus Valley Health Partners in West Covina 1 day a week, but it could be a while before I actually got interviewed or hired there. Sooo I'm definitely taking this job! And the pay is great, more than I expected. :)
