Thoughts regarding MALE RNs?

U.S.A. California

As a male nurse in an ICU/CCU here in Southern California, I was just wondering what your thoughts are regarding male nurses in your respective units? :coollook:

Male RNs Rule.:D

Rule What :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:chuckle I prefer to work with male nurses. They talk about themselves and their lives. Some female nurses just want to gossip and backstab other nurses.

:chuckle It sounds like I have been extremely lucky. I have met and worked with some great male nurses. Of course, I have worked with some great female nurses too.

we all live in scrubs now so does it really matter????, I find it nice to have a different perspective, and some patients really appreciate the opportunity to have a male around.

In my ~20 years in nursing, I have worked with good and bad female nurses, and good and bad male nurses. I don't care which set of genitals you sport as long as you're competent and willing to do your share. :chuckle

Sadly, we have no males on our med/surg noc unit. We could use a little testosterone to balance out the estrogen.
