Hello,
I know it's still a bit early, but I was wondering if anyone is applying for the Fall of 2016 program at Calhoun?
I have two small kiddos (4 yr & 5 1/2 yr). I don't work but I am on the board for the PTA, which is like a full time position - just no pay. I'm really worried about my brain handling all the new information and the juggling of kids since my husband recently started traveling more for work and is also in school for his MBA.
And I have 240 points. I missed out on the points for Microbiology (which I'm taking now) and the 7 points for having basic work out of the way because I haven't completed my psychology class.
I have two small children (3 and 1), I don't work away from home, but keeping two small people alive all day is a job in and of itself. I'm a bit nervous about juggling it all. My husband has travels for work a good amount. Last semester he had a ton of work trips, I was taking A&P II and Micro, and my youngest was having some issues including not sleeping through the night. I spent most of last year working off 5-6 hours of sleep max and not always in one sitting. Lol I remember thinking that it was a good prep for nursing school.
I'm currently second semester (under their new curriculum) and one class is driving me crazy and I feel like the whole new curriculum thing is gonna drive me crazy by the time I'm supposed to graduate. Plus most of the nurses I talk to around here got hired straight out of graduation from Calhoun, not as many from UAH. And fingers crossed for all too! I'm so nervous.
I also have two small kiddos. One is 5 (starting kindergarten in the fall) and the other is almost 2. I took Micro and a&p last semester and it was crazy with my girlies. I have applied to the part time program because of the children. My husband will be off work to care for them while I'm at school or studying. It does make me feel better knowing that other mamas will be in the same boat as me if we get in. :)

Hey Bobbi73 I was also at UAH! I've decided to apply to Calhoun again (I applied last fall but chose UAH to get a BSN instead). If we both get in, I LOVE math! *hint hint for anyone else who needs math help too* I'm glad I saw your comment because I was so scared to be the only UAH gone Calhoun student.
