Anyone applying for Calhoun's nursing program this fall? I am and I am really anxious and excited!!!
U have to address each section. They told me to sign the waiver and just write on it that I would be taking when they become available. You also have to provide ESS with your final Hep B or whatever series you at not have completed.
I'm not taking the Nurse Pack or the Med Surge books. I am going to keep a tote in my trunk and put my Pharm book in there until that class. I got a rolling backpack and a large "31" tote and it's still jammed full.
I was wondering about the uniforms as well. I think I will wear mine because it is mandatory, they are just giving lenience for new students.
The excitement for school has worn off for me. Now I'm just ready to start...I had a dream, no nightmare a few nights ago I failed a class by -1 point. I want to start working on my books now so come on Monday!
I just wish ESS would email and let me know if my items are accepted. I kept getting emails that I was missing stuff, when I wasn't so I called them and they said oh yes it's here. ARGHHH. Our insurance only covers flu shots from our doctor and they don't have them yet. I had to sign waiver for Hep B since 3rd shot won't be given for 6 months and I'm also missing my second varicella. I have to take the 2nd shot Sept. 3rd. I had chicken pox and so did both of my kids but my titers came back negative. I am totally shocked.
I am wearing my uniform. It was freezing in there at orientation so I will have to wear my lab coat. I only bought 2 so I will pretty much be ironing them nonstop.

Ok, thanks. Mine is just still pending and I keep getting emails about it. I didn't want to sign the waiver because I wasn't declining the shot.
Also, what is everyone taking on the first day of class? We shouldn't need our nurse packs or our supplies, just the books for that class. Correct?
