That is awesome congrats! I can't find anyone else who has gotten accepted into San Marcos. Keep me updated

I received my acceptance letter on Tuesday for the San Marcos campus! I was very happy to finally hear from them! So excited to start the program :)

Congrats, everyone! That's such great news!! Sarah-V, I'm rooting for you sister! I'm so bummed that I won't know anything until the end of December. Ack!

Sarah I wanted to let you know that I declined the offer from San Marcos so I opened another spot! :)

happyhanks- you are awesome! Thanks for rooting for me...love it!!! Is Anatomy all you have to finish? Did they say you could still have a chance for Spring?

Malefocker- why? why? why? I was hoping if I got in we could do the cohort together. I am glad it opened a spot, do not get me wrong, but what are you going to do? I totally understand if it was just too far of a drive to commit 2 years to. But what are your plans?

Sarah-V, anatomy is all I have to finish - at least, for the core classes. They said I still have a chance since I applied for the Spring and I'll be done with my core at the end of the term, but we'll see...

has anyone else heard from the university?.... =\

I'll be applying to CSUSM's accelerated program soon and am a little nervous about the TEAS exam. Just curious about those of you who've gotten your acceptances already, what were your TEAS scores like and do you have any tips on how to study for it other than the book?

Congrats to those who got in!

I got an 88.8 on the TEAS and was accepted to San Marcos. My pre-req GPA was a 3.62 and my last 60 units were 3.72. The best advice for taking the TEAS is to study the ATI book. Go to atitesting.com and order the book. There are a few other study guides out there one by Kaplan and one by McGraw I have all of them but looking back on it now I would not have spent the extra money on the Kaplan and Mcgraw study guide. The questions are really similar to that in the ATI testing book (same exact format) Some of the questions were exactly the same the numbers were just different. Ironically the hardest part for me was the spelling/grammar and the science. The math and reading comprehension sections I only missed one question on each section. I took TEAS 4.0. If you have any other questions just PM me.

Does anyone have any suggestions on doing a ADN versus a BSN. I received acceptance into MSJC, which is close to me and only 4500 (instead of 35000 for the BSN) I am doing some clinicals at PPH and the RN's keep telling me to get the ADN then go back to do a MSN, and skip the ABSN. Have any of you thought of this, or is there a better reason to pay the extra paper and do about twice as many units for the BSN? I heard the pay is the same. I only wanted the BSN because I want to do a MSN and thought you needed a BSN first, but apparently not. ???
