  1. Don't lose hope yet! I just received an offer and I interviewed May 7th. Good luck to everybody!
  2. UCIRN, I think I sat next to you in the waiting room! I haven't heard anything, either. Ack!!! Good luck!
  3. For those that are still waiting, I received the email to interview at 6:15 pm on May 1st. I guess they're all working extra hours! I submitted my application at 11:30 and then finished my assessments a little before 12:30. I hope this helps...
  4. Have you applied before? If you have applied within the last 12 months and completed the Talentmine and sim, then they use your previous scores...
  5. Good luck, everybody! I submitted my application a little before noon and finished the Talentmine and Sim questions around 12:30. I feel like I didn't make the cut-off, but that would be crazy!!! Gheesh. And did anybody receive their Talentmine score? I didn't see anything, but it says I submitted...Thanks!
  6. Sarah-V, anatomy is all I have to finish - at least, for the core classes. They said I still have a chance since I applied for the Spring and I'll be done with my core at the end of the term, but we'll see...
  7. Congrats, everyone! That's such great news!! Sarah-V, I'm rooting for you sister! I'm so bummed that I won't know anything until the end of December. Ack!
  8. Oh, hopefully good news for you all! For those of us that will be finished with their nursing core this semester, my adviser said that we'll get a letter when the official transcript is received. The secretary told me that if my score is good so far, I'll receive a conditional acceptance letter, but my adviser said that they don't do that so we'll see what happens. If I get one, then I'll post it so that everyone knows conditional acceptance exists... Good luck!
  9. I haven't heard anything, but I won't until my anatomy class is finished mid-December! Sorry I'm no help. Good luck!
  10. Sarah-V, you seem to have gotten more information than I was able to! I hope you don't mind all my questions...How do the rounds actually work? Will they offer all the spots in the first round and then offer the seats that weren't accepted in the second round? I'm not done with my core. I'm taking Anatomy this term, but I'm done with the rest of my core. I took my TEAS and was very happy with my score - I think it will round out my GPA to make my overall points about average. I didn't see a change for the IP units! What was the change?? And how are you so sure you won't be in the first round?
  11. Sarah-V, I feel ya! I just hope our points are still competitive. Do you know anybody that has gotten acceptance for Spring 2011?
  12. I'll think good thoughts for you, Sarah-V. :) I'm pretty worried because I didn't do so well when I first went to college. I ended up taking a break for a few years and then went back - getting great grades. Two classes from my first round of college dropped my nursing core GPA, then my GPA for the last 60 units dropped a bit from my cumulative because I had kids! I went into this thing thinking my score was going to be pretty high, but I don't think that's the case anymore. I sat down to try to figure it all out, but with the quarter system at UCSD, I got a headached starting to do all the conversions... Ugh!
  13. Another question...have you heard if they are actually using the point system for Spring 2011? Last I heard they weren't using it because they weren't getting as many applications as there were spots - but, that was several months ago...
  14. Thanks! That helps...I feel a little better. I just realized that my post could have been read in a way I didn't intend. I didn't mean for you to be thankful. I was responding to someone with the username "bethankful." Sorry...
  15. Congrats on your acceptance for Spring 2011, bethankful! I'm now joining the thread and am wondering if anyone else has heard news for Spring 2011? I received my evaluations letter, but they made a mistake so I sent an email 2-3 weeks ago and then called yesterday. As of yet, I haven't received a response and I'm getting a bit antsy. Also, is there anyone else out there who took mammalian physiology classes at UCSD? If so, did they qualify for the physiology prereq at CSUSM? At the info session, I was informed these classes would qualify, but then my advisor requested a syllabus for my comparative physiology class instead... Thank you!!
