Cal State San Marcos ABSN Summer 2017

Published

Hi guys!

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has applied or is planning to apply for the Summer 2017 cohort of Cal State San Marco's ABSN program? This cohort is at the satellite campus in Temecula.

I finally just finished all my pre-reqs and was able to complete my application today ( I had a couple classes to finish during the Fall term. )

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has heard back? I have my points evaluation but that is the only thing I have gotten back so far!!

Good luck to everyone and I hope to see some posts!

What's the name of the Fb group, Kendle? I'll make an account soon!

@raynaleigh I emailed my academic advisor and all she responded with was that I would "receive your evaluation shortly." She always responds to my emails with one sentence. It's very frustrating. I'll wait a few more business days before I call the extended learning office.

I've posted a few comments with a direct link to the page but this site told me those comments needed to be approved by the moderators before they would show up, so hopefully tomorrow it will have a direct link. On Facebook the name of the group is CSU ABSN COHORT 28 and right now it is a public group so that you can hopefully find it just by searching for it. If those two options don't work I can add you directly to the group through your email!

Here's the link again, just take out the space between . and com and you should be able to access it.

I recently applied for the Fall 2017 cohort for CSUSM's ABSN program. I was looking online about the pre-nursing core (under the regular BSN page) and I noticed that they will only accept a statistics course if it has been taken at a CSU, not at any other university system, private university or out of state school. Is this also the case for the ABSN program or will they accept stats courses from other schools? It's too soon for me to have gotten my evaluation back, so I'm hoping someone here might have an answer. Thanks!

Hi kenab! I am an out of state student (washington state) who just got accepted for the summer cohort at CSUSM. I took my statistics class at my private university here in Washington and they accepted it without any problems, so I don't think they care where you took it as long as the requirement is fulfilled. Good luck!! :)

Hi everyone,

Hopefully people are still checking this thread. I've also applied to the summer 2017 cohort. I was wondering what the total points were for those of you that have already been accepted. I just received my evaluation today and received 38 points and am hoping it's good enough to get accepted..

Elijah323 I think that's a really good score!! I got a 42 and I think some other points were posted earlier in the thread. I think if there is still room in the cohort, then you definitely have a good chance. Good luck!!!

How long after your evaluation did you hear back with admissions results?

Hi! I just got accepted at the beginning of March for the Summer 2017 program. I got 41 points on the evaluation, which I got about 2 weeks before my admission email.

You can see the previous average points for those who were accepted here. For Spring 2017, the average was 34 points.

Hi everyone,

I too have been accepted into the Summer 2017 cohort. I was wondering if anyone has heard back regarding the background check and orientation.

Hi, I was wondering how did you know that your prerequisites was acceptable? I tried using the website suggested by the webpage ( Assist.org) however it did not list any matches from the community college I am currently taking my prerequisites.
