hi anyone!
Am from CDOC, Phil.. Anybody here applying for NCLEX of Vermont State, who is only waiting for the license verification from PRC? I got mine and been told that its the applicant who is to send it. I plan to send mine, hopefully along with others next week, January 11- 17, 2009 to beat the effectiveness of the new Feb 01, 2009 Format.
I would be glad to hear from anyone!:)

As per the red banner in the Philippine forum have moved this to the International forum, I have also changed the title to reflect the fact you are not applying for NCLEX but licensure to be a RN in the US.
Is your license verification from PRC in a sealed envelope as generally this is supposed to come directly from them?

Verification of licensure is to be sent by the PRC, just like it is done in the US. It is normally never accepted when sent in by the applicant that is applying. Only way from there would be if already in sealed envelope from the PRC and you are then sending the sealed envelope by courier.

helo!
Im also applying for vermont. my friend told me that i have two choices whether the prc will send it or i will. if the prc will send it its quite expensive i dunno how true and so i told prc that i would be the one sneding it. I just passed my form to prc last week and i have to go back to prc to get it and mail it. By the way im from cebu.
Also not aware of any new format for VT that is starting in February. Nothing on their website concerning this other than changes to Advanced Practice rules and this requires that one already possess an active RN license for this state.
Only thing any different is the form for the schools to fill out for those that attended school in either the Philippines or the UK, but this is not new as well.

dont trust the PRC 100%, meaning, they should send the license verification directly to vermont nsg board (not you)..
you are still lucky coz you already have it, me, i still have to follow it up, and yes im concerned of that feb.01, 2009 deadline as clearly stated in their website particularly in the icon on "international nurses"..
whew imagine if i have to resend again new set of documents at additional cost because of the inefficiency our PRC, they cant help you find work but worst they our life harder, philippine goverment at its best...

I'm also applying for VT. I filed my prc license verification last week of Oct. 2008. And i just got a news from a friend today that my license verification form is already available for pick-up.
I was quite surprised last week that VT have updated their application forms as of 12/2/08. Does this mean I have to start from scratch again? Since I haven't seen in their website that the 12/2/08 updated form will be effective only until Feb. 2009.
Im a bit confused. Pls. advise. Thanks!
Have not seen one thing on their website about anything having to do with Feb 2009. Are you speaking of the changes in the form for your school to complete? This is the only difference and it is not new. And is only for those from Philippines and the UK. The newer form is actually easier for the school to complete so it would be to your advantage to use it so that nothing gets left out and time not wasted having to contact your school for additional information that has been the case in the past.
There is not anything else new on their website.

I personally would get CES ongoing and then send application to VT. Would also print the forms and send by post ensuring everything is correct. What do you mean by deposit in the bank? most prefer bank draft which you have to pay when you get it
I already have filed my VT NCLEX requirements from my school and from PRC (license verification) last year using the old format (rev 7/2008). Though I haven't mailed such documents yet to VT.
However, I just found out that VT have revised the forms as of 12/2/08. Would you suggest that I will file "again" to my school & PRC the reqts. using the new format? Or will push thru mailing my docs to VT with the old format? Im afraid that if I will mail my documents using the old format it would cause so much delays in processing my application. Pls. advise. Thanks!
1) any "minor" or "major" changes in the forms or procedures is a "big" thing for us applicants because it is very annoying that after sending your documents then you'll have to send new ones (if that would be the instructions, as what happened last year)..
2) there are changes in the forms: to be filled up by the school, and that nursing license verification..
3) Ideal thing to happen: Vermont must receive your forms including the prc license verification before feb. 01, 2009..
4) If Vermont already received your application form and school form, but has not yet received your prc license verification form, then the ideal thing to happen is for Vermont to receive that verification form prior feb. 01, 2009.
5) If Vermont already received your application form and school form, but has not yet received your prc license verification form, and assuming that verification form will be received after feb. 01, 2009 then just wait for their instructions.. it is really up to them if they will require you to pass the new verification form or not.. in other words, pray, as i will pray too with my situation..
6) If you have not mailed any documents to Vermont, prudence will tell you that you better prepare your application using all the new forms (i know its costly).. unless you can assure yourself that all your documents (including PRC license verification) will be received by Vermont prior Feb. 01 then go ahead use those old forms..
7) Im just concern, i think Vermont requires that the PRC license verification shoiuld be sent directly by PRC to Vermont Board.. so, just check it out..
hope that clarifies..
