i missed the below question. thought the answer was dizziness as wouldn't this go away with a cabg surgery. depression is not an item that a cabg surgery is designed to handle directly.
a client is recovering from coronary artery bypass graft (cabg) surgery. the nurse knows that for several weeks after this procedure, the client is at risk for certain conditions. during discharge preparation, the nurse should advise the client and his family to expect which common symptom that typically resolves spontaneously?
you selected:dizzinessincorrectcorrect response:depressionwhy is dizziness incorrect as a common symptom to expect to be resolved as cabg surgery will allow the heart to pump as it should, and thus give oxygen where needed. that would mean that the dizziness should be handled if it was present.

I'm thinking depression because of activity limitations (including sexual activity) as well as the sternal scar (altered body image).

I've seen that question before on a practice test that my instructor was going over during a review session.
We all got it wrong, including the instructor!
