CA Gov. Newsom On Wildfire Devastation: Impact Of Climate Change Cannot Be Denied

As firefighters battle dozens of deadly wildfires across California, Governor Gavin Newsom warns that climate change is a fundamental part of the crisis. Fires along the West Coast have destroyed towns and forced tens of thousands of evacuations.

It is unfortunate that people suffer and die in those fires. The conditions are dry and the numerous reasons of the fire starting make it impossible not to burn.

Is there a climate change contributing to the fires? Absolutely. And there are people contributing to it as well. Climate change or not, people as a whole continue to take us toward the planet apocalypse. This may come as a surprise for the environmentalists, but that is where we ( our children and grandchildren) will end up despite the efforts.

Let's not make this political. People are suffering and dying.

In an effort to continue discussing the fires and not Biden or Trump, here is my accurate and realistic prediction: Trump will win the 2020 election.

And if he hoes not, I will flip-flop like the majority of our great politicians.

NJ Pinelands in southern NJ not far from me came up with 2006 Forrest Management Program includes Fire Management plan.  Controlled burns,herbacides -including root raking of  shrub dominate sites --done along Rt 55 and Atlantic City expressway have been part of the plan,  Maybe that's where Trump heard/read about raking...   ?

I quoted your comment when I responded to its content...which was only peripherally about fires. Meanwhile, Trump is a science denying conspiracy theorist who doesn't care how many Americans die as long as he remains in power.

How on earth did this land on a nursing site? Is All Nurses going political? Okay, then you will have my full opinion. Newsome is an idiot....the latest of many generations of democratic morons that have run the state of California, which I was born into and left at age 58. Those idiots, including the Sierra Club, refused to properly manage the forests....add to that the tax dollars put into the general fund that were used to pay for illegal aliens....forget about the needs of Californians.....Climate Change? That was brought into public light 20 plus years ago. Why didn't California plan for it then? Now they blame all the fires on that. This is total BS. It is a hypocritical, tyrranical state run by idiots.
