Hi! I applied for the fall 2011 Nursing Program at Burlington County College and was just wondering if anyone else on here is waiting to hear if they got in. I've finished all of my pre-req's with honors and live in county but I know it's a matter of who gets their applications in first so I'm still really nervous ! Just looking to see if anyone else on here is in the same boat being I know I can't be the only one! Hoping to get a letter soon! :)
I haven't gotten anything. If you hear back from them let us know what they say please! I got my Dean's list certificate in the mail today and when I saw the envelope I was hoping it was our packet of information. Hopefully we'll get more information soon. I'm anxious to get the ball rolling too! :)
Pat the secretary from the Nursing dept. called me today. She said that things have been a little crazy because people who were offered acceptance had decided not to go with the program so they were notifying people on the wait list to fill up the open spots. She said that she will be in contact with us in a few weeks about registering for Nursing 119: we either have to go register for the class in her office in Pemberton, OR we go to the other campuses and register with our official acceptance letter. (She said that way people who haven't gone through what we've gone through can just register for 119 without any issue.) She also said that we will be receiving a packet sometime this summer with the info on the CPR, health physical, and other things in it. *phew* I went online and just looked at the sections available. We would all have lecture together on Monday and Tuesday, and then two sections at a time have lab and clinicals together. I'm looking forward to just getting started. One less thing on top of everything else I got going on to worry about.
Thanks for the update!! I hope they notifiy my out of county friend whose on the wait list! We should all meet in Pemberton to register together if possible once she contacts us to do so, would be nice to meet! I can't wait to get the ball rolling! I'll go look up the schedules too, just makes it feel more productive to simply see something in writing doesn't it? lol!! I have the BLS CPR certification for healthcare workers but it expires this coming fall so I'll have to do it again anyway, I did it at Kennedy hospital in Cherry Hill on a Saturday morning, it was around $40 if I remember right. Maybe we could all do that together too once we have the info.
Thanks so much for letting us know about your conversation! When any of us hears anything next we'll need to keep everyone informed like this. It helps keep the stress level of the unknown down! lol!!
Thank you!!
crhoward13186, I just looked up the schedule for 119 and saw what you said about mon & tues from 8-9:50am and I've heard Thursday is clinical day but where did you see lab and clinical schedules listed? I didn't see them.
I've always heard Mon, Tues & Wed you're in classes, Thursday is clinical day and Friday is exam day each week, so that goes with what you said but I just don't see a place to look that up, did you find one or did they tell you that? Just curious of the lab hours and basic clinical hours (I think they change from location to location though).
No biggie if you don't have exact info, just curious! Thanks!
If you go to web advisor and check the schedules click on the course name it gives the times and buildings for lab lecture and clinical (clinical just says hospital work it doesn't say where you will be but it gives the times 7:00-1:30...) I put the times in my notes on my phone just for reference for whenever we do register
Thank you! I found the other info on webadvisor last night when I looked but no lab or clinical info, I will try again maybe it's because I just pulled it up by class# 119 and didn't click on it further, I'll try that but you already gave me the info so either way I'm set! I appreciate it! Not a bad schedule at all for the classes themselves being I know we'll need tons and tons of time to study at home. (did I mention we'll need tons of time to study? lol!!)
Once we're contacted I'll reach out and see if we can't coordinate to register at the same time so we can meet! Thanks again!
@wontgiveup as long as you meet all the requirements and finish all of your pre-req's no later than the semester you mail the application in you'll be fine I was told and that came true for me! I finished the last of the pre-req's this past fall semester and mailed my application in Nov 1, I have no classes currently being I finished them all and was accepted to start this coming fall. Good luck!!
