I am currently working on my BSN. I have a strong desire to become a DNP - in which specialty I am unsure. Does anyone know if there such a "bridge" program that allows one with a BSN obtain a DNP? Or is it better to go from BSN to MSN (maybe even a post-MSN certificate) & then apply to DNP schools?

i am looking as well for a program...i found that duke has a program...helllloo its is something like $1185/hr:eek:...no thank you. i know they are out there....
Many schools are phasing out MSN courses now and starting BSN-DNP, there shouldn't be too much trouble finding one. I am at Pitt and I know they are accepting the last MSN students Fall 2011 then it's all DNP.
Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh has an BSN to DNP program it is a 4year program total and you will come out with you family nurses practitioner degree and a DNP. It is a great program, and you are able to attend and and continue to work
Yes it's true there are many BSN-DNP programs. Some are also online. I am currently enrolled in a DNP program with the track of FNP. Here is a link to schools that offer the DNP degree. Some require a master's others do not. Hope it helps
