Hello,
I am currently working on my BSN. I have a strong desire to become a DNP - in which specialty I am unsure. Does anyone know if there such a "bridge" program that allows one with a BSN obtain a DNP? Or is it better to go from BSN to MSN (maybe even a post-MSN certificate) & then apply to DNP schools?
Thanks so much!

I will be starting a BSN to DNP program this summer at the University of Iowa. I am not sure what other schools have this option.
Good luck!

You don't need a Master's before entering the DNP program? Interesting...

Many schools are phasing out MSN courses now and starting BSN-DNP, there shouldn't be too much trouble finding one. I am at Pitt and I know they are accepting the last MSN students Fall 2011 then it's all DNP.

Yes it's true there are many BSN-DNP programs. Some are also online. I am currently enrolled in a DNP program with the track of FNP. Here is a link to schools that offer the DNP degree. Some require a master's others do not. Hope it helps

Wayne State in Michigan has a BSN-DNP. ~74-84 credits and you choose a specialty to work into the program. It's about 44 credits for masters-DNP.
is it online

No, it's not online. They pride themselves on their inner-city focus and most clinical placements are in Detroit.
ooh.... and I just looked up out of state tuition and it's a painful $1300+ ($800 for in-state).
