Hello,
I am currently working on my BSN. I have a strong desire to become a DNP - in which specialty I am unsure. Does anyone know if there such a "bridge" program that allows one with a BSN obtain a DNP? Or is it better to go from BSN to MSN (maybe even a post-MSN certificate) & then apply to DNP schools?
Thanks so much!

University of Washington offers BSN to dnp programs which are completed in 3 years of full time study. They offer lots of NP and CNS specialties.
Also, USD offers BSN to DNP programs.
I think more and more schools will be offering DNP programs. I say, go to the school you want regardless of whether it is DNP or MSN. You can always do the DNP later. I have seen some programs already that offer MSN to DNP in only 1 year (if you stay within the same specialty). I am sure there will be more and more of these programs offered as more masters prepared Nurse Practitioners want to go back to get their DNP.
