i made it to npii and i feel so lost..we have so much to learn in such little time..i failed my first math exam:cry:, i'm retaking it on wednesday. since then, my stomach has been in knots and my heart has been pounding outside of my chest. i did the mandatory 60 math questions in the clinical lab (not from work book a but same concept) so now i have math to worry about amoung everthing else...my first lec. exam is on friday..i usually study on my own but i need some help for friday's exam:(...can someone please help! thanks.
i know what you are going through, but you just have to hang in there and tell yourself that you will do it.
and practice for that math exam alot, so when you are there you don't wont get too nerous.
for the lecture exam, did you buy that big bundle that has like a plan/objectives for all the classes in the program $37?? take the topics from your lecture and review what it says in the packet, and take your own notes, and just read everything word for word, pay attention to the boxes in the book because they love taking questions from those.
btw, it's better to study on your own because often, other people cause distraction.
good luck!! i know you can do it!!!
I need some help with F&E, test is on friday and the more I study the more I feel lost....
with the F&E, I can tell you that my experience with it at BCC, knowing what was in the lecture book was enough!
I love buying those supplemental study guides--but I didn't for that topic, and I just studied what was in the lecture packet and the lecture book---keep practicing those that are there because those will be similar to what is on the test----I studied so hard for that and my teacher only put 2 or 3 on the test.
good luck!
Hi BumblebeeRN, I passed the Math test and I passed my first NPII exam. Fluids & Electrolytes, BM, Nutrition, and Oxygenation is the next topic. Any advice?...Some say not to focus so much on F&E or to just read F&E made incredibly easy.
OMg, get away from that book!!!! it has so much information and it makes everything more confusing.
read the lecture book, and the class lecture packet and believe me, that is enough. those supplemental books have extra and extra info that you do not need at all.
my teacher gave very simple questions on F&E that were very similar to the packet--- nothing with pnemonics like what those books have.
study what you have in the lecture book and in the lecture slides packet and you will be set.
WHAT!! BUMBLEBEERN DONT STUDY THAT BOOK?!?!?! OMG THE PROFESSOR SAID THAT THIS BOOK WAS OUR KEY TO PASS. IM AT NORTH TOO IN NPII IT SUCKS I FAILED THE FIRST TEST BY TWO POINTS JUST BCUZ I DIDNT STUDY I HAD TOO MUCH ON MY PLATE BUT THIS NEXT TEST omg i herd it was a trip to hell and back and this will make or break many people outthe program . what should i study i mean her lecture is kind of confusing she really does not like to repeat any thing. so im like a deer in headlights LOST :typing

:(Oh man, I am sorry, I am lost for words. I did what I wrote on my post, and I was fine-- and our Prof. told us the same thing that I told you-- that the lecture book and packet was enough, and it ended up being true.
but if your prof. is recommending the book, then might as well study what she recommended, and study your best.
I wish you the best :up:of luck, I know the program can be tough.
