Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

Nichole,

My titer results just came back and everything was positive except the mumps. it was equivocal, not positive but not negative either. does this require the booster? i was thinking i'd do it just in case but i've called a bunch of pharmacies and urgent care offices and nobody has a booster, just the initial vaccine. if i'm required to do the booster would the vaccine be sufficient?

Check with the program office on the campus in which you are registered for guidance. I don't want to say one thing and the campus/hospitals require something different.

Was that emailed to you guys, or the reference number included to your emails? If not, it is not for you regardless of if its open. Registering for it can get you dropped if it was not specifically set for new students.

Just keep that in mind.

Hi everyone,

We are well underway with registration. I am not on the board as often as I was during the application period so if you have any questions, you can email me directly.

Please remember that if you have not registered, you register off the emails that were sent to you. Do not search for the courses. You will register wrong and will be dropped. I have had some upset students but I went over this multiple times during pre-admissions.

Even if you see a course open on a campus, unless that reference number was included on the emails that were sent to you, please do not register for it. Those courses are not for new students. If you register for them, you will be dropped.

If you are thinking of trying to change your campus within the week, please do not start your COMPLIO information. Wait until registration is over (November 15) and you know for sure what campus you will be attending.

If you registered and your clinicals were changed, contact the program office directly. My office doesn't have anything to do with registration or a change in your schedule.

Have a great afternoon!

Nichole

thank you very much for this I will email you.

Hello Everyone,

I hope you're all having a good weekend so far :) Everyone seems so quite on this site now. Has anyone else run into trouble registering with Complio? My registration didn't let me get past step 4 of 9; registering for the drug panel site??

Also, has anyone been able to view/access the d2L blog for information on courses as stated in our welcome letter?? (as below)

Course Information can be obtained by:

a. Preview course information Pages through Blog via d2l link.

How is everyone getting on with there paperwork/requirements?

Thanks, :)

Almost completed my physicals ets. Only thing I need to complete is TDAP. Some places 70 others are 90. Working to see if my insurance is going to cover it. I signed up for complio, I just need to pay and complete the required information and do lab works. I am super excited!!! Orientation is December 1st. Eagerly awaiting.

Hi this is super late but I am in my last week of retaking a&p 2 at keiser was the post test hard? or similar to the pre test? i just want to know what to study since its worth a decent amount of my grade.

Hello everyone! I am doing the complio and have almost finished with all req. but am confused about the titer... Is complio/broward college supposed to give us rx/order for the titer? When I went for the drug test I tried to have titer done then and they said a doctors rx or orders are required to have it done.... Just trying to figure out what to do now.... Will I need to ask my PCP during my annual appointment or get the form from broward college ? Thanks in advance!
