Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

Nichole,

why are some of the process 1 classes restricted? i really needed the morning class for process 1 at north but it was restricted and i was forced to take the afternoon class :(

I have no idea. A lot of north campus students had issues. I forwarded probably 60 emails to the program office and advisors to register.

All I can say is be happy you are on the campus you want. You may have had a "choice" this semester for morning or afternoon but it will not always be like that. A lot of students did not get the campus they preferred.

My schedule isn't reflecting on myBC account, however I did email myself the schedule and it shows I am enrolled:nailbiting:

Send me an email because if you are successfully registered it should show on your MYBC account

I am still not sure. The schedule is set by the program offices. Unfortunately, health science admissions has very little to do with that part of the process! :(

no worries... thanks for all your help with this entire process!!!

I know this is off the nursing subject. I am hoping everyone on this feed already had a chance to VOTE, or maybe is planning on doing so sometime today.

Please go and VOTE Y'ALL. Exercise your rights.

It's only fair! Today we got to pick our classes for our future, so lets go out and pick the next qualified candidate to be our next president.

:)

Nichole,

Do we have to register for orientation on myBC? The link recently showed up on my home page so I am curious if I have to register for orientation or my class schedule automatically makes me registered for my particular campus.

Hello everyone. Looking forward to starting at the Central Campus. :)

I began looking over Complio, which lists the documents that we need to submit. I've figured out most of them, but I'm not sure what "Online Orientation Certificate" is. I thought it may be those online courses, but it only shows the need for one document under each of the two corresponding categories. They don't link to a document, so I was wondering if anyone knows what to upload in those sections.

I am asking here rather than email just in case someone else had the same question ;)

Thanks in advance!

Nichole,

My titer results just came back and everything was positive except the mumps. it was equivocal, not positive but not negative either. does this require the booster? i was thinking i'd do it just in case but i've called a bunch of pharmacies and urgent care offices and nobody has a booster, just the initial vaccine. if i'm required to do the booster would the vaccine be sufficient?

No, that orientation that is showing up is for new students. You do not have to attend that orientation, only the orientation set by the program office on the campus in which you are registered.
