Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

In response to your question. You will need to get your physical done at your PCP or wherever you prefer doing it. At this particular time you will tell them you need to get blood drawn for immunity (titers). MMR, varicella, etc., you'll will also need a TDAP shot if you have not gotten one done in 10 years. Get on that now just in case you need boosters. Do not forget you need these document to take when you have campus orientation. Complio is for background and to upload your docs. you will be given information on how to get urine samples and fingerprint etc, done.

Hello everyone! I am doing the complio and have almost finished with all req. but am confused about the titer... Is complio/broward college supposed to give us rx/order for the titer? When I went for the drug test I tried to have titer done then and they said a doctors rx or orders are required to have it done.... Just trying to figure out what to do now.... Will I need to ask my PCP during my annual appointment or get the form from broward college ? Thanks in advance!

Hello all!

Question for those of you retaking A&P1 at Keiser... Were you given the option to take out a student loan to pay for the 2k class? Did you use financial aid? How did pay for the class? I was reading someone said you can make monthly payments...is that a payment arrangement made directly with Keiser? I need to retake my A&P1 to get a higher GPA... Does anyone know when the next class starts? I have some time, I wont be applying to Broward Program till August 2017, but I just want to get it out of the way. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey ! I just finished retaking it and I also heard from people you could do monthly payments but when I went they didn't give me that option. And they didn't let me use financial aid it had to be out of pocket. Thankfully I have Florida Prepaid and I was able to use that. I know there was one that just started now. I passed with an A so my GPA went from a 3.0 to a 3.7 because its lecture class and lab.

Yes. I called Keiser this morning and spoke to admissions counselor Christine Daley. To take A&P2, it would cost $2296 out of pocket. :dead: They did offer to make in 2 payments. Half at registration at the other half at completion of course. I have no idea how I'm going to obtain the funds. They cant offer me student loans because I am only taking one class. I also do not qualify for financial aid because it is only one class. Any suggestions???

I currently have a 2.7 GPA and given the information from the last two semesters, I dont want to risk applying and getting Denied in August. Retaking A&P2 could possibly raise my GPA to a 3.4. So I think I should really retake...so overwhelmed.

Next term begins Jan. 9th and ends Feb.5th, in case anyone wants to know.

Does anyone know requirements/guidelines for the scrubs? I know it has to had the broward college logo but what about the brand/style? I went into book store and top fit fine but bottoms were unisex and not fitted at all (looks huge on me) so I am trying to look elsewhere for the scrubs and just have it embroidered.

I know some students would buy the bottoms from other places that were the same color as the tops. But the tops ok pretty sure everybody bought them at BC because of the logo
