Broward College Nursing Program January 2017

Published

Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.

Does anyone know if they have started to look at the January applications? Has anyone's points updated?

We have 14 days Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back or at least pushed back too far!

I was awarded points a few days ago. My application says in review. We won't know anything until the end of this month at the earliest tho.

Hi Nichole, I read your post that the process of applying is changing. I have to turn in my application, would I be turning this in at Health Admissions office or Health Science Department? Thank you for all your help! :)

Thank you Jade 94 for the resources! I'm happy to say I took the HESI yesterday and passed my first try! So I turned in my scores and my application afterwards and fingers crossed now come early October 😊

I have a 3.09 GPA and applied on Aug 25 for Jan 17, I am super nervous :nailbiting:. I really want to get in and not wait listed, I have B in A&P 1 and 2 lecture and also Lab 1 and ENC1101, I have an A in Lab 2. Do you know when we will find out, and also do you know of anyone that got in with a 3.09 GPA?

Hi lexxa25! Congrats on passing the HESI the first time :) Question, where or to whom did you turn in your application and scores?

Hi niko.m27! Thank you! I turned in a copy of my scores in building 8 on Central Campus. It's right next to the library, where you take the exam, which is building 17 so I just went immediately after. I also filled out the nursing application right there with the lady as well. I didn't catch her name but when I went, I just asked the first person I saw and she was really helpful, she works in nursing admissions and also told me they're sending emails to our Broward accounts by the end of September/early October. Sorry I didn't catch her name to give you.

Hi. If someone can help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it. I will like to drop my application today after work. I leave work at 5 and I know the nursing admissions office closes at 4 is there a drop off box to place applications? Also, I have tried looking online as to where to pay for the application fee and have had no luck. If I bring cash do I still need to go to cashier office? If so, what time do they close? Thank you in advance.

Once your application is turned in, they add the application fee to your account. You can either pay online or in person. I believe there is a drop box to turn in applications

It's been soooo long since I last posted, are there any 2.7 hopefuls ??

I'm extremely nervous and at this point feeling deterred from even applying. With a 2.9 GPA and an overall Hesi score of 83.... It's seems harder to stay positive. None the less I'm still going to turnin my application on Monday. (Crossing fingers and toes)
