Hello!
I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.
I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)
My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)
I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.
Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?
how many alternates realistically get in tho ?
I drop approximately ten new students every semester because they do not complete their paperwork by the deadline. Do I do this to be mean? No. Historically, if a student cannot complete their documentation in one month, they are not going to pass a nursing class in eight weeks. I do not know if alternates even attempt to complete their documentation during the "wait and see" process. If so, there may be an opportunity - but that is a question for Nichole.

Emails today will have orientation information correct?
This is a copy of what the results were for he applicants as well as my orientation day and time let me know if anyone else has the same orientation time.

Last time I checked McFatter Tech (Davie), and Sheridan Tech (Hollywood) had LPN programs. I like McFatter a lot... It's a small school, but I definitely felt my teachers were competent and they even brought in a physician for extra help during class. I don't know if this is the same exact case with the LPN program, but I did have a good experience with the phlebotomy night program. They also have a small library you can work on your assignments before class. Even though, I like McFatter I do also like Sheridan Tech because they have a bigger campus Starbucks/Einsteins directly across the street and I also know the people there are pretty nice. I think you'd do fine at either one. You can also look into Atlantic Tech Center, one of my friends graduated with his Lpn there...I don't really think he enjoyed the school that much- but it served it's purpose and he's a practicing lpn.
