Hello!

I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.

I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)

My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)

I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.

Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?

I have preadmission status as well. Congratulations to everyone who got in! My GPA is 3.5 and I was awarded 11 points, for those who were asking.

You can speak to an advisor, but I doubt it if you have a C or better its considered passing. But it won't hurt to speak to an advisor to see..

yes, Broward College does "grade forgiveness" So as long as its the same course number, for example anatomy BSC2085, and you get a higher grade then your original grade, it gets replaced with the newer one.

I had a 4.0 and my HESI was 88% overall. My best friend was a 3.4 and his HESI was also 88% overall.

Oh I see what you're saying, that may only apply to students who've failed courses. So if someone passed a course they can't retake the course for a higher grade?

Bethany, do you know if all the alternates were accepted into the program from last semester or only some? I'm so discouraged because last year people with a 3.0 were accepted and I have a 3.0 now all of us with a 3.0 are Alternates pending seat avail. This really sucks :(

Nope, you have to meet with someone and see if it can be done if not you'd have to go to a private school and retake them there

but talking to an adviser first would be best. I'm doing that

I know we're on the same boat do u know if all got accepted ? Let's hope for the best guys nursing is something I really want to do I had high hopes for broward but I will not give up
