Broward College Nursing Program August 2016

Updated:   Published

Hello!

I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.

I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)

My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)

I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.

Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?

I agree it will be helpful. Since nursing is a lot critical thinking I think reading the chapters would help us so we can know the material and apply critical thinking while we re read it after. So we won't be worried on our first exam. I did this with Microbiology as much as I could and I passed both the lecture and lab with a B and I'm sure I could've did better if I studied more.

Thank you Science Diva. Hopefully someone from the previous term can give us their syllabus with the chapters we are being tested on for the first exam. This way we can read ahead.

So no class for summer term.

Summer would be our third semester

Yea me too I asked a may 2016 student. She says that they might be doing the new editions of each book for the program. So u might want to hold off or if u do buy them make sure there like really cheap or something.

Google Books has a lot of free texts, ex. Pharmacology for Nursing.... :bookworm: :inlove:

Where ??

I have the nursing fundamentals book already. I've had the pdf file for a while and I bought the hard copy a couple months ago to start reading. I also have a copy of the last syllabus. I'm not sure how to upload these things to our forum but I will try now. I also bought the SE (cheapest style) Littman, a nursing clinical clipboard, planner, notebooks, etc. I'm waiting to get a book bag and some other books. Just a couple more days!

Its 5 semesters and you get half of a summer break, unless you haven't taken micro.

Hey everyone! My status still says App in review but there's still no points and the hs/college transcripts still have red X's instead of green check marks. Just wanted to see if anyone else has the same thing. Thanks!

Where ??

Using the Google Books App, or running the search through Google. I am not sure if this link will work, but search by any subject/book title. There's hundreds of books available.
