Broward College Nursing Program August 2016

Updated:   Published

Hello!

I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.

I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)

My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)

I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.

Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?

I have 6 points as well with a 3.0 gpa. I'm sure we will be fine. I can't wait until the 15th so close yet so far.

I have 6 points too I hope it's enough to get in !!!

I think we'll be fine. Just keep praying í ½í¸Š

Do I have a problem if this is the first thing I check every morning lol

Haha OMG me too!

I've been eyeing a Littman but I'm waiting for the official acceptance letter to buy it. Once I get the acceptance letter I'll start buying stuff. But I've bought regular cute school stuff. Highlighters, Agenda, Folders, little Notepads for clinicals, etc! :-)

OMG yes! I want to buy sooooo many things but I'm also waiting to hear if I'm in or not.

I wanna buy so many things too but I'm really trying to wait till that acceptance letter before I go crazy just to be safe!

4 days guys!! [emoji86]

Do you guys know how long is the program.is it 3 or 4 semesters? I have a brochure that says 3 semesters 45 credits

I thought it was 5 semesters ? Does anyone know? For the ASN I thought it was 18 months and then if we do the BSN is 12 months ?

It is 18 months!

The wait is a killer!! I thought I was the only one looking at things to buy already! I'm so nervous and excited at the same time

I feel like I want to get the books for the classes we are first taking as soon as I found out I'm in and start reading ahead. I want to be prepared so I won't feel lost and I would know ahead of time what the professor is talking about. I have found that reading the chapters ahead of the professor going over a chapter helps retain information a lot better.

I completely agree! I want to get the books too I just don't want to get ahead of myself without even knowing if I'm accepted
