Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
Okay cool....soooooo guys. I was talking to a patient (I work at a eye doctor), and shes a er nurse at Memorial. She went to BC and she said it really is the BEST school to go to for nursing. You really learn everything necessary to be a good nurse and that other new nurses she sees that graduate from Nova, FAU, FIU, etc come out and don't know anything! And this is not the first person I heard this from either. So yea we made a good choice
Cool! I'm so glad to hear that. I was considering going to one of these private colleges but besides it being WAY over priced I really didn't feel you would get a good quality education. I feel like all they want is your money and give you an easy way to get through it. Honestly it shouldn't be easy. You will be dealing with peoples lives you can't make mistakes. You need to feel confident and know what you are doing.
Also emailed Nicole this morning and she applied app fee to my acct so I got that taken care of. Ahhhh I can't wait till March to get the ball rolling. I was looking at the thread from may of last year and they made them wait till the end of march before sending out acceptance emails! Hope we don't have to go through that torture lol
Yea likewise, I've been going back to previous threads for May 2014 and August 2014 and they've found just a month before classes started. that must be overwhelming to the extreme!
I also work at a eye doctor and a bunch of our patients are nurses are memorial miramar and they always tell me that broward has the best reputation on the program. i had originally applied to barry for undergrad but once i heard horror stories about their program having a passing rate 1 out of 10, i declined the acceptance. i rather just wait for BC and take it from there.
Also they don't get as many applicants as they use too. With all these other schools out there offering shorter programs that are easier to get into people are taking that route. BC use to have a waiting list of 2--3 years now as long as u can manage to submit your app in time u got a chance to start next available term
I think they will make us wait lol when I emailed Nichole she told me March. It feels sooo long from now we didn't even have thanksgiving yet! SMH @gaby yea you should definitely be good like dolfan said do well on the hesi. But even still people always tell me it's really easy to get in the hardest part is STAYING in
Haven't seen FutureRN0630 on here lately. ...u still out there??? Lol. Maybe she got in already. ...I know Nicole said they were waiting for people to defer their seat if any... hopefully more people will catch our thread so we can all be impatient together LOL don't worry march will be here before u know it. Then we'll all be running around trying to get all our stuff together
