Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
Thanks giggly for the advice on the hcp course. So now I have yet another question. I noticed the Hcp courses offered in this Winter term ends in February. I wonder if my application will even be considered if I am still enrolled in the HCP course. I noticed that Sheridan Technical offered a 90 hour Health Core Course for $300. I read on a 2013 thread that BC told an applicant that the 90 hour Health Core course is equivalent to the HCp001 at BC and would be accepted. There are several pros to this option: online (will be done faster),is cheaper, and only meets 3 times.I guess what I am saying is which do you all thing I should do?
Hello Everyone,
Happy New Year!
I am new to this post, but read through most of your thread so far so seem caught up. I have also applied for the May '15 semester so still anxious on finding out any news. My status still states pre-req not met, but I am hoping it is a delay due to the holidays and the college being closed. I will email Nicole and confirm. I have already completed AP, English, Math, HCP, etc. I took the HESI and got a 90% overall. Not the greatest, but I wasn't as prepared as I wanted to be. I am registered for Micro lecture and lab at Central for Winter and looking forward to that. I guess it's a waiting game for now. Thank you for all the information you all have provided, especially about the info session. I wasn't able to attend, but it's really helpful. How do you guys feel about weekend clinicals if they decide to arrange them? Also, (if you don't mind me asking) how are you planning to support yourselves during the program with the schedules and course load? I work admin currently, but it's so sporadic and not reliable income- I desperately need a job, but with being a single parent and the schedule I have had to get a loan on top of financial aid. Any advice? Thanks :)
Hi there future nurses!
My names Arielle and I'm about to apply to the May2015 program for BC! (north) and I just wanted to know everything that needs to be put on the application like you initial the little boxes (?), tell them what program you want, and you pay the 20 bucks before or after you turn in the application? Etc..
I DONT WANT MESS UP ANYTHING OR GIVE THEM A REASON TO NOT ACCEPT MY APP.
I cannot not wait for Monday, when the offices open back up for the semester. I'm overwhelmed with nerves and excitement.
How long till they put some type of status online?
Please any help or advice is welcome!
Best of luck..
btw.. I got an 88 on my HESI and have an 3.5 on my program GPA. Praying I have a shot.

Hey Ariel! We took. The HCP course together last semester and the Hesi on the same day! So glad you did so well I scored an 86% overall! I am hoping for an answer as well because I'm trying to apply Monday as well at north!
Hello everyone
I wanted to explain my situation a bit to see if I can get some advice and well encouragement because right now I am starting to feel a little depressed. I am a current student at FAU with a 2.6 cumulative gpa. I did not try my hardest and had a baby so life was a little hectic and pretty much have all c's in my pre req courses for nursing school. Trying to get into FAU's bsn program is out of the question. I was looking into broward nursing program but I am afraid my grades leave me a slim chance. Is there any hope for me? what are my options? should I retake all my courses? Also, for the hcp0001 class at bc I am trying to sign up but it says it cannot find the course....any thoughts??
Thanks!
