I spoke to an advisor, they told me I can sign up for both right now..I did last night, I was just confused about the summer situation, ad now I am reconsidering it again

I usually don't go to advisors, they screwed me over 3x already. I only go to them for VA cert signing, not class choices. Either way, think about it, if it's something you feel confident you'll pass with high grades then go for it. Otherwise, take your BSN prereqs and apply for the August admission. You'll still get there. :)

Thank you so much! I appreciate your replies. I think Im gonna go for it. I know I can do well on chemistry, and if I don't do well on micro I can always retake it. Either way, I like fast paced classes as I find it easier to retain information for tests. I know this isn't ideal, but Im only thinking this way for my pre requisites. I just signed up for the classes. I decided to sign up for the chem lab even though it runs into the chemistry lab. If I don't think it will work out Ill drop chem lab and leave it for later when I do my BSN. I just want to start!!!

Hey guys! Just got caught up on all the reading here lol....as far as taking both if u think u can handle it go for it. Chem to me was a breeze. I actually liked it (which if u knew me u know that's weird lol) micro lab was tough. Toughest part was the midterm but the final was a piece of cake. Try and do your very best on the midterm so your not stressing over finals too much! Good luck!

Lol yeah crazy schedules, crazy life for the next 2 years! But it will all be worth it in the end!!

I took chm online and the lab at north campus. The teacher i had at north was wonderful. He was older. The lab was only once a week which was easy. .. But micro is twice a week for both classes. It wasn't a killer class but it took a lot of time to study. There is no way i would take that with my nursing classes now. You think it's just one class. ... But it's one class that takes all your time to study for. I can't begin to tell you how many dx are on my test each week that you need to know etiology, pathology, dx, tx, nursing interventions, prognosis for each... so much. Try and get it done asap. It will be worth it in the end. Rather than kill yourself. That's just my 2 cents. I've never seen the speed classes. If you can do it, go for it. I guess it also depends on what else you have going on. If you don't work or have kids you may be fine just doing them at the same time as your nursing classes. I know some people in my classes are in math classes as well. And others registered for the mini sessions during our break.
