Chem is not a prerequisite. BUT micro is required to be taken prior to finishing the program. And chemistry is a prereq for microbiology at BC.

Yes u do need chem I'm not so sure if it's a pre req or just a requirement. When u sit down with the advisor just double check with her she'll give u all the info

Im taking chemistry in the winter term and then craMming microbiology in one of the nursing program semesters. I know it will be hard but i know it can be done

That's definitely an advisor question then! I already have micro done because in Orlando you only need bio done to take it. I wish things like that were standard across the state!

I'm so not patient enough to wait until late March after I send my application. That gives me next to no time to find a job down here and a place to live that I can afford

Yeah id ask. although bsn programs usually require chemistry too just to keep in mind.

Oh I plan on taking it eventually, I just hope I don't need to have it done to apply.. That will push me back

The only thing you need to apply is Anatomy 1 & 2, English , a general math course and the HESI. I believe you need the HCP0001 course as well. Microbiology is a requirement to graduate only, and at BC chemistry is micro's pre req.
