Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
So practice a lot of conversions and stuff?.....i printed out some stuff that was suggested on other threads so I can start practicing now. Figured I would do 10 questions a day from now on just to keep it fresh in my mind. Cause u know how it goes out of sight out of mind!
Yes, practice those and word problems.
I currently live in Orlando, but I have family spread out across Broward and am heavily considering BC for school. I'm a recent LPN grad, so I'm crossing my fingers on getting into the LPN-RN transition program starting in May. Is anyone else going for this or know anything about it? I'm visiting North campus and have an advising meeting set up for this week. I also plan on trying to take the HESI while visiting as well. How long did you all study for that? Do you have to take all the sections? I'm trying to gather as much information as I can prior to my trip so I can be as prepared as possible!
Hi & welcome! One of the girls (mariposalpn) who is currently in the program I believe did LPN to RN transition she checks in on our thread often (and also other threads). As far as the HESI is concerned yes you have to take all five sections in order to be able to submit your application the math is a lot of conversions and fractions anatomy is a lot of physiology. I personally studied for about a month or so before I took it I know others have studied longer

Watch for: Genus, maybe Stauffer as well (she's also the Dean of Nursing)
Good teachers: Jackson, Carter Smith.
I'm pretty good with math as it is, as well as the language sections. I've heard the HESI is easier than the TEAS and I've already taken that and did decently well. I'll definitely have to brush up on the science sections (chem and physics, seriously? Ugh..) I just read that I can only take the test at BC so I wanted to try and just get it out of the way :-/
