Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

That's great that you are able to get it done so quickly and start soon.

It took me a year to do all the science classes but I took one at a time with their labs.

I would recommend you sit down and map it all out to maximize the classes you are taking. I wouldn't recommend a regular advisor to help with that... Either do it on your own or go see a nursing advisor.

Definitely go see a nursing adviser. The people in building 8 on central campus are really helpful. They will be able to give you an outline of the pre-reqs that you need for the program and that way you can map out how and when you are going to take them. Having a plan is so important when it comes to nursing school, or college in general. Pay attention in Anatomy and Microbiology.. those two classes will follow you all throughout nursing.

We chose our campus. They have us a list of codes to register. First come first serve. You have to be ready to log in at 8 to register.

For those of you who are currently in the program at Broward College, how many students drop/fail the first semester? A friend of mine who graduated from Broward College nursing in 2010 claimed that there were 75 students in her class but only 30 graduated. Is this still the case?

Yes this is still the case. U.S. LPN transition students who started in May started with 45 and are down to almost 30.

Yes 3 . The class is full of retrackers and lpn ;)
