Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?
I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.
Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)
Stay away from South campus if you possibly can. It is no secret that nursing school is difficult, however this campus makes it nearly impossible.
I heard south is the easiest of the three campuses, so now I am all confused.
I know it wont be easy, but the closer I get the more scared I become.
If by some reason you get stuck at south, it is not impossible to succeed. But be aware that they will fail you for a point, they will also change your schedule and expect you to comply at a moments notice. So if you have a job, kids, or a spouse, make flexible arrangements beforehand. As far as South goes, they do not care about what is going on in your life outside of the program.
Nurse987 are you at south campus now or did you already graduate the nursing program? We need all the advice we can get. Should I start reading ahead before starting the program and if so what books should I read. I just want to succeed and I will do anything I can do to do so. Hearing all of this craziness about nursing school makes me even more anxious though and gives me extreme anxiety. I already told my boyfriend that I live with that I probably won't have time for him anymore lol, but I know he will support me through it all.

Is the fundamentals of nursing book difficult? I want to buy it too and start reading it because previous classes have said that it really helps to start reading ahead. I think I might order it next week off amazon. What edition is it?
