Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Has anyone received an email from central yet?

Not I. I'm still waiting for central campus email as well.

When is the deadline to turn in all the paperwork? (south campus)

Documents are due April 29

I went to south today to buy scrubs but they didn't have small pants or med polo tops. I had to buy the polo and pants at Central.

Do our lab coats have to be the ones with the logo? I hope not I really really want to wear a shorter lab coat that gives more ability to move about.

They are not called lab coats. ..says jacket... It is white with tight sleeves and short

Do we need to buy the polos? I bought 2 scrub tops and 2 pants already. Did you guys receive anything about uniforms?

no...I hate waiting till the friday before because if the orientation is all day classes start monday and the bookstore will be closed. I asked other students in the program...you need at least a set of scrubs and a polo to wear to theory...I guess you can wear the scrubs all the time and not purchase the polos...I would would think that is just a personal preference. South only had white polos in stock. The blue ones had been mainly XL and a few small. Try them on over your clothes because they all had a different cut for whatever reason. Central let me go in a fitting room and change and they had every size polo and scrubs tops/bottoms. That was nice. South didnt allow me to open anything prior.

Oh okay, yeah before I was planning on going to south but now I want to go to central. Their orientation is on the 29th which I'm happy about because it gives us time to get anything we might be missing

I was told by the guy working in the book store that we needed the polo tops and white jackets as well. We wear the polos to class and walking around campus, and the scrubs for clinicals and the SIM lab.

Okay cool thanks, I guess I'll just buy one for now, I've already spent so much on immunizations uniforms and books and I'm still missing things
