Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Yeah that is the company Stethoscope Sale - 3M Littmann Stethoscopes They had the littman classic II SE steth's starting at 72 with free engraving. Other sites were 200 and up, yikes!

Do we have to get a specific stethescope? Also I just got my textbook. What should we start reading from now?

No i dont think so. I think people prefer the littman because its one of the better ones they can also use when they start working

The Adscope brand is really awesome for stethoscopes. I honestly like them over Littman.

When is the deadline to turn in all the paperwork? (south campus)

That would probably be when South holds its orientation, which is April 29th.

South has its orientation May 9 not in April and the due date is 4/30

And all students must plan on attending clinicals at 8 am on 5/13 at the school regardless of their clinical day.

"All students must drop off the following documents in the order stated no later than 04/30/14 by 12 Noon-Nursing, building 72"

thanks for correcting that! I think everyone should know that this forum is to get advice, share stories, stalk emails and all that good stuff together but we should know that anything about policies, due dates and required materials should be thru the nursing department. I get a lot of info from you guys and other sites but I think since we have all been through orientation and made it this far that we should know where to find all

the pertinent information which is on our email.

I would hate for one of is to miss a deadline because we went by a date on here and not in our emails. Hope everyone has a great day! I ordered my stethoscope :)

Hi guys,

I am looking at the email from South campus that states the orientation date being May 9th but I do not see a time anywhere on here. Does anyone have ay idea what time? I remember at the 1pm April 8th meeting, the other two campuses both said 9-4 but I wonder if it is the same for South.
