Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Do u get to pick your clinical hospital? That would be really cool

The clinical hospital depends on the professors. Majority of process 1 instructors goes to broward health. Only one goes to plantation.

Oh okay. I live close to Plantation Gen, but would rather go to Broward Health. With my luck ill get plantation lol

Anyone else here working out money issues? I think even with possibilities of scholarships I'm cutting it close. I really need to get a hand on that book list and start hunting for some deals!! Lol. I am ordering shoes now and buying scrubs Tuesday and def ordering fundamentals of nursing w. Is everyone buying their stethoscope from bookstore or going with the engraved littmann? If the littmann is just the basic ok?

I am thinking of cutting down my cable I can't afford the $210 bill and same thing with my cell phone which is currently $130 hello metro pcs here I come!

There is a site that sells cheap littmans with free engraving. Ill look for the website and post it. I have a roku that i can get damn near every channel for free once u have the internet. With that box costing about 60 bucks one time and netflix i pay about 48 (internet and netflix costs) for tv

Everything ia finished now. Physical, backgrounds certificates, even got my portfolio together. Just waiting on orientation.

I have one that I hope I don't have to give up. I got worried when the central campus dean said there were clinicals on Saturdays I hope i don't get that one because that's $920 I come I need for the month. It all sounds afforable

comapred to the other big name schools until it's time to start. All the plans sounded so doable in my head lol.

Yeahhh the Saturdays thing didn't sound good for me lol. I basically /just/ got a job and my availability is already gonna tank with this first semester. I have Fin. Aid for this school year already set, but I'm pretty much budgeting my next couple checks.

I'm on indeed and careerbuilder plus craiglist everyday several times a day. I'll let you know if I do.
