Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

The points go as follows:

4.0-16 points

3.9-15 points

3.8-14 points

3.7 13 points

3.6-12 points, and so on.

So our admission is based on the amount of points we get from our GPA. N/A points granted from HESI and Math college level in my application. However it says requirement met.

Don't they add a point if you live in Broward?

Yeah we are suppose to but I don't think they added it on yet. Maybe they aren't doing that anymore.

It's true, a lady in admission told me they are not giving additional points for Broward residents anymore.

I did re take it this morning and rocked it, 93% on both sections!!! :up: So i turned in my application today. I tried to see if they updated anything on my account but not yet. The advisor did tell me that they still needed to evaluate my transcripts but they did receive them and also verify my sheridan certificate so hopefully i will see how many points I received soon.

Per the health admissions staff, they no longer give one point for being a broward county resident. I feel like I needed that point! With limited classes added to the GPA (last semester they were calculating Chem and math) I have a 3.0. I feel worried about that.
