Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

At north campus the scrub top is 25 and the pants are 20 is it true that they are cheaper at south campus??

I would like to know the uniform prices as well. In central they are $25 top and $25 bottom. Most likely all campuses have the same prices. But if there is a anyone who has gotten their uniforms at a different price than those, please let the rest of us know!

NORTH CAMPUS: If anyone wants to give me their email I can forward them the orientation packet for north campus. I received the email from the dean regarding our November 3rd meeting.

I just received a email for South Campus students and it states

9. As it relates to the proof of drug screen” on the cover sheet. I was informed that some Quest diagnostics provide a receipt to the student and others do not. Please ensure that the one you go to does provide you with a receipt BEFORE you get there.

Does this mean the people who have already went to a quest that does not give proof will have to go again or what? I don't understand.

Same thing happened to us at central campus- I would just e-mail the department and let them know so they can fix the issue (even if someone is sending it to you)

Does anyone know if we have to wear our uniforms to orientation at Central Campus or can we just come in business casual clothes?

I am not positive but since we haven't even been given a dress code yet I would assume business casual.

No, it is referring to students who have yet to complete their drug screen. South Campus has a method of addressing those students who went to the Quest sites that do not provide receipt but we are not encouraging additional students to visit those sites.

Buy your pants at the uniform store.

Do you guys know if there's a specific rolling backpack we should get? I heard that a lot of people use those because of the amount of books we carry
