Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

Hey just an idea for everyone, if you're like me you are probably thinking about how much ink and paper you are gonna waste having to print 2 copies of the orientation packet. I just put in an order at FedEx office for my copy to be in black and white, regular paper, with a spiral bind and the second copy the same except for it to be stapled for $10.

I did that last week it turned out nice definitely a good idea!

In the orientation package?????? I don't see anything about textbooks anywhere

CENTRAL CAMPUS !!!

Do we really have to dress in business casual clothing tomorrow? Because I don't see where it mentions that anywhere in the email.

I emailed Theresa Adams today and she said that we didn't have to wear our uniform and can wear business casual.

It doesn't say anywhere in the emails or the orientation packet about business casual how are we to know what to wear? I doubt everyone emailed her asking.

I just asked her because I didn't see it anywhere in the emails. I just wanted to know do we have to wear uniforms or can we come in normal clothes

So normal clothes are fine (different than business casual especially for those who have work in scrubs after lol) just wanted to clarify, thank you!

Yes I assume so haha. I don't plan on coming super fancy

Hey all I just back from speaking to north campus nursing dept. They said for ceufast do the 4 hr infection Control barrier precautions in addition to the osha/tb/hep course. Also, they said for north students we would be receiving an email from the Dean regarding orientation information to bring with us tuesday. I asked if we at north needed to wear the uniform like south and they no. Hope this helps anyone going to north.

I cannot find the OSHA/TB/HEP course all in one on ceufast.com ??? is there another name for it? when i search. nothing comes up, but if i search the separate they come up - PLEASE help is any one knows the specifics we have to take on CEUfast !!

The classes are all separate. It will be osha separate from tb separate from hep c. They don't add up to six so you have to do the infection barrier precautions 4 hr to make up for it. That is what I was told from north nursing dept and that's what I did. I hope this helps.

Anyone heard anything about textbooks? There's like 15 I wanna buy them but do we really need all of them?

I was wondering the same. We were told yesterday that we would receive an email today containing the book list. Did anyone receive an email with this information? Thank you.
