Hey everyone!
This is a thread for anyone applying for the January 2012 class at Broward college for the generic nursing track. July 16th was the date to start applying and I believe it closes sometime in October. How many points does everyone have? I had to defer my seat so I will be starting in January for sure at north campus! if I can be of any help with questions pertaining to getting in or the HESI I will be glad to help! Good luck everyone!!
Hi, The posted my points before i left health science admission office. they told me right there how many points and that they were going to post my points, and they did. then she told me that theres a $20 fee that i need to pay, that i can either pay it right there at the cashiers office of pay it online. I immediately paid at the cashier's office.

Hey guys! I'm a nursing student at Broward College North campus. I started January of 2011. If I can be of any assistance let me know :) I probably have the answer to all your questions! Good luck to all!! I applied twice before I actually got in :)
What was your points? Were you worried? How is the program thus far? Did you take Micro before entering?
Thanx..lol. Congrats!
@ Ralphigesbabe...You wrote a post a year ago about the practice course for MTB (math requirement in the program)...I am interested in taking the course...I asked an advisor about this before and I got the code information from her but I misplaced it...all I remember is that it starts with CAE...Do you remember the course ID#?....Was it helpful for you?
I don't remember the course ID, but I do know that it is taught at Central. You can call them and they can give you the code. The class was the best investment I EVER made. It gave me a clear understanding before I had to take it at North. The teacher at Central was AMAZING very patient and trust me well worth the money :)
@ Ralphigesbabe...I read and also heard how hard nursing process 1 and 2 are...how did you make it through...can you share any tips?
I was at North campus. Honestly, the teacher is GREAT! And you'll appreciate her once you don't have her. Stay focused. Keep yourself organized from day one. It may be a little overwhelming at first, but read, read and more read, and the pp slides she gave were amazing to study off of. Process 1 & 2 were not that difficult it's just getting used to their way of testing. Buy like a test success book, it will help prepare you for that type of test. It is nothing like you have ever taken before.

I had 10 points, I did take micro before entering the program or you'll be taking it on maybe the only break you have which will be the second portion of the summer. I was very worried at first I stressed every day, but honestly i have 2 kids and a husband to take care of and I have been able to make it. It hasn't been easy and there have been times were I just breakdown, but honestly what in life comes easy? If you truly want it nothing will stand in your way!!
