I had to defer my seat so I will be starting in January for sure at north campus! :D if I can be of any help with questions pertaining to getting in or the HESI I will be glad to help! Good luck everyone!!

Congrats CaryD...I submitted my application today...Now the wait begins

Hey girlie! I submitted my app today.. Status: "Application in Review".. The lady told me they will start letting people know if they are accepted as of Oct 15th.. Didn't they tell you something diff??

I am excited and nervous!!! :lol2: LOL.. Just prraayyiinnggg to see "Pre-Admission Status" ASAP!!!!!!!!!! :)

Which campus is everyone applying to? How many points does everyone have so far?

I have 11 points. Hoping to be at either the Central campus or North Campus. I am freaking out though because I jsut received an offer for a promotion at my job and I don't know if I should take it or not. If you get accepted, how long can you delay your seat??? My heart is telling me not to take it and to pray that I get in... but I don't want to be sorry if I don't take it and don't get in. Ugh!!! This sucks!!! I did really well on the HESI (Overall 93% with 90% in Vocab, 92% in Grammar, 92% in A&P, 94% in Reading, and 96% in Math), but my GPA is low (2.9). I have no idea what to do!!!!!!

I would like to get North.. But will take what I can !!! LOL.. :D..

How the lady explained it to me when I turned in my application, is basically, if your accepted..

1. You get an acceptance e-mail with a pre-admission orientation date. (You MUST respond to the e-mail to confirm you will be there!)

2. @ Orientation- you will be given a list of things (CAE's, Physical/Titers/Shots, FBI screening, Drug Test, ect) that has to be completed by a certain date.

3.Once those are completed, submitted and approved, you are given the date you can begin registering for classes....

**She said its basically luck of the draw. Its like registering for a regular class, put in the course code, see whats available and pick your classes. BUT-- ALL of the required classes selected have to be available and selected at ONE campus, and once you start at a campus, you have to continue at that campus through completion..

I am not sure if that's the exact process, but what I was told...

OoOoo BTW.. I have 12pts... How about you???

Your GPA is 2.9 for pre-reqs or overall?? Because your points are based on your pre-reqs only (Ap1 Lecture & Lab, Ap2 Lecture & Lab, CHM1032 and ENC1101)... Whatever your GPA is based on those, is what they base your points on.. If you have 11pts with an overall GPA of 2.9, you are fine!!! :yeah:

Also, if you are accepted for January, you have the option to defer your seat by only one term, meaning you would start in May (SUMMER!!)...

Hope that helps.. Good Luck :)

That's my pre req GPA.... Only because I took my classes at a 4 year university in 2005 when I got my first bachelors degree and I got a C in A&P 1.... Well, the lab and class are together for 4 credit hours so unfortunately that C counts for both my A&P class and lab... Sucks! My other courses were As and Bs. Im wonder what's the point range that they look at. Im thinking 11 points is ok, but I see a lot of people are get much higher points. I know my HESI scores are great, but that wont get me in! I wish time would just fly by.... The suspense is already killing me!

Hey Shepata...I have 14 points and I'm applying for the North Campus

From what they said, the points they go by are whats showing under your "Limited Health Science Application" icon on your myBC homepage. If you look at the bottom, it will show your "Total Points". So basically, they start with the people with the highest points and go from there.. If you look at posts for the last group that just started in August 2011, some people got it with 7-8 points.. Soooo if you have 11, you should be fine!!!

Good luck!!!! Can't wait to just have an answer too!!! :D

I have 13 points. hesi score overall was 94. The lady told me when I handed in my application, she said with 13 points you shouldn't have a problem getting in. I hope its true! :). This was at the North Campus.

I have 6 points :( 3.0 gpa. I'm not a Broward resident & no HOSA.

I'm happy about my Hesi Scores though. (Overall: 92%, Math: 98%, Grammer: 98%, Reading: 93%, Vocab: 88%, and A&P: 84%)

I've heard of people getting in with less points. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
