  1. Everyone has to take it....it doesn't matter if you already have degrees
  2. @ north campus we had to take a tabe test (just the reading portion) about 15 to 30 minutes after the first exam....I didn't like that at all.... In my opinion, they did that only to make it difficult to pass it....the test wasn't bad but a lot of students didn't get the score that's required (12 points)....I did....thank goodness....if you happen to get less than a 12, you would have to retake it before you are allowed to reenter the program (this is if you fail a class)
  3. Thanks honey!!...Same to you!
  4. Sweething24 At North Campus...our final test was the hardest...A student received high "B's" for the first two exams and ended up failing the class....At North campus the final was a hot mess!!!! I have been thinking the same thing recently (changing school)....I started the program with a 3.75....And now I have a 3.45.....my GPA keeps dropping because of all these "C's"....It is possible to get B's but it is not easy....My plan is to work a little harder and approach these specialties as if I'm failing....In GI GU I failed the first test horrible....I knew that I was in extreme danger to fail the course....I knew why a failed the test so I made sure I studied really hard (I passed the 2nd test with a "B")....I never received a "C" before nursing shool and so far I have three "C's"....it really bothers me. Some people say - "C" means Continue....I don't believe that....I am not a student that settles for less....GPA matters A LOT....And I am not going to settle for that.....I am definitely going to try to earn some "B's" from here on out....Good luck to you!
  5. Hello Dixon!....What I did before starting the program was read "Test for Success"...I did chapter 1-5 from the "Drug Calculations" textbook....I found that it helped me....especially the math...Make sure you stay on top of your reading.....Study as if you are failing the course.....You have to think that way....Get your "Fundamental" book and start reading....Go on Professor Brickman web page (Get the reading list and start reading now)....before I started the program, I read vital signs and physical assessment.....Process 1 is a lot of reading...A LOT!!!....You need to get started now....I passed the course with a "C".....I believe we started with 89 students....about 40 people withdrew after the first exam...about 30-40 students moved on to process 2.....Good luck to you!
  6. The same thing happened to me...I scored really high on the first test...low on the 2nd (Fluid & Electrolytes, acid base, etc....what saved me was my 1st test score......study really hard for the final.....you can do it....believe in yourself and study your butt off....I believe the same thing happens at every campus....My class January 2012 has a record for being the smallest group for process 2 (North Campus)....Before us, they would have like 10 students in a clinical group...for us, we had 5 students in each group....A lot of people failed....it was just so sad to see that.
  7. Hello sweething24...I passed process 2.....You are absolutely correct about that...I have been saying this lately (I wish I had completed my AA and went to FAU....It is just so sad....I regret coming to BC.....so serious!!!!!!!!!!
  8. ok...thank you...i will do that...and good luck to you!
  9. Oh ok....I would like to apply for NCP in 2014...Im currently in nursing school working on my associates degree (will graduate in August 2013)....I plan on applying for my BSN in 2014...Do you think it will be too late for me to apply for a spot in the 2015 class if I submit the kit in 2014?....I know I have a while before I'm ready but I just would like to know what I need to do so that I can plan accordingly....Thanks for responding to the post so quickly :)
  10. Hello navylynn!...Were you a RN before you applied for NCP?
  11. Hello Everyone!...I have been thinking about becoming a Navy Nurse and I would like to get some info about the whole process...As far as I know, one has to have a BSN or be in a BSN program in order to be considered for the NCP...The thing is, I'm a nursing student (ADN) I will graduate in August 2013...My plan for the future is to obtain my license in September/October 2013 and apply for the BSN program hopefully to start in January 2014....Did anyone start the process of becoming a Navy Nurse with an associates degree in nursing? I really would like to know how the process works if I started with the associates degree first....Thank you for responding to my post :)
  12. I did too....my friends as well.....hopefully she can teach the course.
  13. I hope she replies soon!...I have been looking for this class for awhile now...When I remembered about it this semester, the class had already started.
  14. I and three other students would like to take the course...I emailed the instructor yesterday and I believe they did the same..I need to know how to go about scheduling for the course...I checked but it's not there.
  15. We should have another orientation at the campus we plan on attending, at that orientation they will discuss uniforms, shoes, etc. This orientation may be before the semester starts/first day of class.
