Broward College Nursing January 2012

Hey everyone!

This is a thread for anyone applying for the January 2012 class at Broward college for the generic nursing track. July 16th was the date to start applying and I believe it closes sometime in October. How many points does everyone have? I had to defer my seat so I will be starting in January for sure at north campus! :D if I can be of any help with questions pertaining to getting in or the HESI I will be glad to help! Just wanted to share I retook the anatomy section of the Hesi & unfortunately didnt pass again. I was 1 question away from passing. Just wanted to share that the Hesi study guide for the test is nothing like the actual test.

I'm retaking the anatomy portion again on monday in FAU boca. I have my fingers crossed that this will be my last time. Considering that I will only have 3 days to turn in my application.

But I'm not loosing hope. If I cant do it by January I will have to apply for August 2012 instead.

shapata....i cannot thank u enough!!!! thanks so much for that a&p review, it helped alot, i took the hesi today....a&p=96, math=90,r.c.=84,grammar=82, vocab is did bad...64:crying2:. im retaking it next saturday. i wanted to score higher since i only have a 3.1 gpa, and my hesi overall is 83.2 now with one fail so im hoping to get at a 90 at least on the vocab. Do u know anyone that got in the broward nursing program with 3.1 gpa and hesi score in the mid 80%?

Tiff01 do you by any chance still have the a&p review? If you do can you send it to me.

I applied on August 16th and have been anxious ever since. I hope we all get in :) I have a 3.5 pre-requesite GPA and 92% on the HESI ( 98% Math, 95% A&P, 97% RC, 82% Vocabulary, 87% Grammar) I might be off by 1 or 2 percent on those scores I'm going by memory. But I was pleased with the A&P score, I heard so many scary rumors about it, so I took my advisor's advice and took the HESI right after passing A&P II, and I think that helped out big time. I also reviewed A&P by taking chapter mini-quizes on my textbook's website.

I have a total of 12 points (11 GPA & 1 Broward resident, no HOSA) I tried really hard to get the best grades while working full-time.

Im excited!!! Took the HESI on Friday and did well! 96% in Math, 94% in Reading, 92% in A&P, 92% in Grammar, and 90% in Vocab. The only thing Im worried about is my pre-req GPA... I only have a 2.9. I think I have a total of 11 points with GPA, HOSA, and resident points. Im praying and hoping that this will be enough..... staying confident! I will turn my application in today.... and then the waiting game begins! :yeah:

Can you share your GPA & hesi scores. I'm nervous cause I have a 3.0 pre-req GPA.

I actually just checked my email. The message I tried sending you was returned. So I tried from another email and the same thing. Can you try emailing me from another email. My other email is [email protected] . Don't know what's going on.

@ Ralphigesbabe...I read and also heard how hard nursing process 1 and 2 are...how did you make it through...can you share any tips?

@ Ralphigesbabe...You wrote a post a year ago about the practice course for MTB (math requirement in the program)...I am interested in taking the course...I asked an advisor about this before and I got the code information from her but I misplaced it...all I remember is that it starts with CAE...Do you remember the course ID#?....Was it helpful for you?
