Broward college May 2012

Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)

Question: How do they (BC) determine if you did HOSA? Is there some kind of paperwork that you need such as HS transcripts?

@sugarbianca... Im guessing I have 6 points that seems so low because some people are saying they have 11-14 points... And They said that my transcripts has been evaluated already... but my status still remain the same. I dont know I'm scared...

@Juliansmom2011 Yeah if you are a member of HOSA it would have been on your HS transcripts so BC would get that info from there.

@Leena27 Sounds strange, the info about transcripts has been on mine since my first semester at bc, so the only new info I have there is the points and a check to say I did the HESI. and it says "Application in Review". I would call them to find out what was going on.

@ Leena27 - I agree with SugarBianca, you should call and make sure everything is ok with your application. Another way to calculate if your points are correct is to compare it to what you know you have/did. Do you know your prereq gpa? Are you a Broward resident? Did you do HOSA in HS? I double checked my points cause you just never know.

Im not a broward and my status just changed to application in review like two seconds ago...I have 3.07 which equals to 6 points.

Ok well that's good... At least you know your application is being processed! :) And try to stay positive cause like the advisor told me, there is no point cut off.

Not knowing is killing me! But I am so excited we might know why Monday.. That's when everybody found out last year.. So I'm crossing my fingers that's when we find out.

I had 6 points and applied last term for jan 2012 but did not get in. Last term micro was the tied breaker. I was told they did take people with 6 points but with micro completed. So i took it last term and reaply again for May 2012. Hopefully we all get in since I know not alot of people apply in summer.
