Broward College May 2011

Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

My status was changed to pre-admission! Waiting on the email (which will probably be delayed because of the power outage. If you're status is changed to pre-admission does that mean I got in for the term I applied for or could I possibly not start until august?

I would say with 99% certainty that you got in for the term you applied for :yeah:

If you did not get accepted for May I think your status would be different than "pre admission"

I was reading other threads that their status change from application in review to pre admission and they got an email saying they didn't get it due to empty seats and would have priority for next semester...I don't understand! So does this mean that people who got pre-admission could possible either get it or not due to full seats and have to start next semester?

I wish the admission office would give more&clear answers other than you will receive an email in 30 days. UGH!

What thread did you read that in? I've read every post from the Broward College January 2011 Forum, the admission period prior to ours, and I don't remember anyone saying their status was "pre admission" but then received an email saying they were not accepted. I remember reading that some of their statuses changed to "not accepted-space avail" or something like that, but not that it changed to "pre admission" and then they did not get in. Was it an admission term prior to January 2011 maybe?

I just called and spoke to someone and she confirmed that if your status changed to Pre-Admissions that you did get in and to keep checking your broward email for the email that they will be sending about pre-orientation

Really? Who did you talk to? They would not tell me anything over the phone!! LOL... Did she say how long it takes until they send the emails? This is nerve racking... :/

Thank-you for sharing this info! After some of the posts I've read I was starting to get a little concerned. I'm itching to mark our orientation date on my calendar and to get this thing started :D

I was getting concerned also thats why I called myself to verify. Im also anxious for everything to start happening

That's good to know!! I guess it's hard to be fully excited until the official email comes! Lol.. I tried calling that # but it's going to straight to VM. Oh well, just have to keep checking our mail! :)
