Broward College May 2011

Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

My status changed to pre-admission as well. I think they send all of the emails out at once, so there is a delay. I read about this for other groups. Good luck to everyone and congratulations to those who make it.

Congratulations all! We've all worked so hard and waited so long for this!! :yeah: I haven't received the email yet either. Does anyone know how many people applied this time around?

I heard over 1,000 people applied, but I have also learned that not everything I "hear" is true! I still can't get a straight answer on which campuses are starting in May. Does anyone have an official answer on that?

I remember making a quick phone call to a nursing advisor sometime last fall, and she told me only North campus was admitting in May. I've read the same thing several times throughout this and other BC nursing program forums... but I guess we won't have an official answer til orientation.

If over 1,000 people applied for only 100 spots (as opposed to the January and August programs, which accept 300 students, 100 for each campus), I'd say we did pretty good :D

My status changed to preadmission;...what does this mean? It that a possibly of getting in?

Congrats to everyone else that got in! Hopefully we will get an email this week. If that many people really applied than we all did really really well

That means you've been accepted!! Congratulations!! I think they call it "pre admission" because there are still a lot of requirements that we have to meet before we begin the program.

Pre admission DEFINITELY means we got in?!?!?! Are we 100% sure?? If so, congrats everyone!! I just checked and I got pre admission too!! :D

Good luck on FAU :) I applied there too, but my app wont be approved since I dropped micro this semester. Anyone planning on defering to August? I want to take micro in the summer and begin nursing in August... I called to ask if pre admission definitely meant accepted but the woman wouldnt tell me..lol.

Yeah,I called today to ask if pre admission means accepted but she wouldn't tell me either... only that I will recieve an email within 30 days.
