Hey guys! I am applying for the broward program for fall 2020 and am super nervous that my GPA won’t be high enough to get in. I have a 3.25 GPA because the health science department said that they cannot calculate my ENC1101 because I took it as an AP in high school. Does anyone know if my GPA would award me 8.5 points or just 8 points? Goodluck to everyone!!

We do not award half points. If you have a 3.25, you receive 8 points.

You can find last years admission stats on the link below. Scroll to nursing and they are listed in the last column.

Keep in mind, the application pools are different for each term.

@ndrullard hi thank you for answering my question. I was hoping you can help me with something else. The health science department emailed me saying I needed to send my AP test score from the college board because the college transcripts where I did dual enrollment will not transfer in.

I was wondering do you have to receive the transcript of the scores from college board in time for the deadline May 30th? It states on the college board website website to expect delays of at least 6−8 weeks for archived AP score report orders. It says they are still accepting these requests, but order processing is currently delayed because of facility closures due to the coronavirus crisis. Since I took the AP exam over four years ago it is archived and I cannot access it to send it right away.

That was me. I am looking into it for you. I will respond back via email once I have an answer.

@ndrullard oh OK great! Thanks so much

Hi @ndrullard,

Quick question: I just completed my HESI today and I'm planning on turning in the limited application, but I'm not sure where to. Are we scanning and emailing to you? Also does the school receive the HESI or should I attach the score report to an email as well?

Sidenote: I'm so excited, this has been a long journey for me, I took the test for the first time in 2014 and I needed a 75% in A&P back then but earned a 72%. Although I did great on all of the other sections, I was so defeated I gave up on this dream until this past year. My prereqs were already complete, so I decided to get MCB done and out of the way this year, and took my HESI this am. I'm so glad that I'm finally able to do this. I've been lurking on these boards for years ? I finally feel like I've earned the right to create an account and engage ?? ?

Good morning,

I actually took the time to read the application and I see where I should send it now! ?

Hey everyone! I took the HESI exam last Wednesday and I felt that the PocketPrep app was really helpful! I used the 3-day free trial and practiced the questions all throughout my day. I felt it was really helpful as the questions were really similar on the actual exam! I also spoke with an advisor today and sent in the nursing application. I’m hoping that I’ll be accepted to the Central campus, but I heard that isn’t really a choice of ours! In a previous thread they spoke about it depending on if you’re fast enough when selecting our classes (not sure how true this is). Just wanted to say hello and hope we can use this thread to communicate while waiting for our status!

Good morning,

We do not register you for courses....

Registration is first come first serve once you are given the registration period. You will select your campus, however, there are only a limited number of seats on each campus. So if you want a particular campus, you are up early ready to register when the registration window opens. I can tell you, central campus normally fills up in, max, 15 minutes the first day of registration. So you will definitely want to think of your second and third choices.

Thank you for clearing that up! I wasn’t sure and was going based off past threads! Are you able to say how many students are usually accepted for the Fall Semester?

In previous years, its been about 225 for Fall. I have not been given numbers for Fall yet... The numbers may be affected due to the COVID-19.
